Meadowbrook Health development forms the western edge of the existing Meadowbrook shopping centre site. Owned and developed by the Horwell Family, the site sits within the broader Logan Hospital Masterplan.
With plans to develop the remainder of the site into a dynamic health hub for the Logan area, the broader shopping centre site will develop in complexity as new stages come on board. As a result, the project is the first building within a multi-stage development of the existing shopping centre, incorporating a future medi-hotel and specialist offices.
The building has been designed with its gateway role in mind, a dynamic curve in the building addresses the corner and then slowly reveals the site within. Over two levels, the built form is pushed to the street edge to develop a strong urban form and then carved away on its side, creating a lively, pedestrian friendly link towards the existing shopping centre. Incorporating UQ Health as its major tenant on the ground floor and specialist suites on the upper level, the development will provide a diverse offering of services for the Logan community with convenient on grade parking adjacent.
