Cottee Parker designed the resident’s common areas including; foyers, lounges and libraries; shared karaoke, golf, and mah-jong rooms; and suites of dining rooms, cinemas, pools and wellness centres for each of the high-rise and low-rise resident groups.
The interior Design of these rooms employs a common palette of interior materials, differentiated partly by the use of each space but also by the dramatic shifts in scale of each space. Foyers are calming intermediaries to the street, featuring fireplaces as welcome devices and concierge desks to manage the administration of over 1400 residents in each tower. Congregational spaces use their double height and sky views to create light and joyful spaces, with mezzanine viewing areas to create an internal landscape which branches off into secluded rooms for private activities and functions. These suites of dining rooms, wine bar, cellar and library return to the moodiness of the foyer, swapping serviceable veneer wall linings with softer leather and textile wall coverings.
