Tweed Heads South Public School

Tweed Heads South Public School

The design approach taken to the school campus is one of contextual and contemporary referencing, along with the sensitive adaptive re-use of existing facilities.

Part of an $8.8 billion investment by School Infrastructure NSW in educational facilities, Tweed Heads Public School is undergoing a significant facilities renewal and refurbishment project.

Cottee Parker are engaged to the construction contractor Bennett Constructions to deliver the project that was designed by SJB. Our role was to complete the construction documentation for works, which included minor design adjustments required by both the client and contractor.

Early works projects covered the scope of the school’s existing main entry and a canteen refurbishment and upgrade. Subsequently, the outside school hours care (OSHC) and early learning centre had extension and refurbishment projects undertaken.

The later scope of works involves the construction of the more significant new building projects, a refurbished administration building, a new 2 storey general learning classroom block, a new school library and a new Kindergarten to Year 2 learning building.
