Tower One

Tower One

With superb accessibility, outstanding amenities, and stunning views of Brisbane, Tower One at Queen’s Wharf is the most remarkable new office space in the city.

It comes as no surprise that Brisbane is the fastest-growing capital city in Australia. The development of Queen’s Wharf solidifies this status, and Tower One is the only commercial opportunity in this vibrant precinct.

The building includes resort-worthy amenities, flexible floor plates allowing tenants maximum workplace adaptability, south-east orientation to maximise views of the Botanic Gardens and Brisbane River, and excellent natural light to ensure the best working conditions and connections to the surroundings.

A new benchmark for the modern workplace.

Tower One is conveniently located in the heart of Brisbane, with easy access to bike paths, ferries, the new Neville Bonner Bridge, Cross River Rail, and the Pacific Highway. To complement this, the building has been designed to prioritise pedestrians by providing active transport facilities, such as showers, lockers, and bicycle storage.

By combining culture and green space, Cottee Parker Architects were able to deliver this masterpiece of modern architecture and sustainable design that stays true to Brisbane’s New World City Design Guide - Buildings that Breathe. The design features impeccable sustainability credentials, with 6 Star Green Star as Built, 5.5 Star Nabers, 6 Star Green Star Communities, Gold Well Core, and Shell Certification.

Winter gardens are a key architectural expression of the Tower One façade. These spaces, located on each level, provide workers with semi-outdoor areas and access to natural light, ventilation, and landscaping whilst managing the internal temperature of the building. Set behind a clear glazed façade, the winter gardens are heavily landscaped to provide a green, vertical expression of sub-tropicality to the tower facade.

Atop Tower One is the Sky Terrace, a rooftop terrace available for the users of the building. It is a unique outdoor space which is entirely naturally ventilated. While shading devices protect from the sun, the elevated location of the rooftop favours the breeze and the stunning views across the river and CBD.

Tailored to each location and varying in type, scale, aesthetics and plant typology, the living greenery in the building varies depending on function and micro-climate. The landscaped aesthetic is then carried from the streets through the precinct via the multi-level ground plane. Brisbane’s subtropical identity is consistently reinforced in the public experience as landscaping integrates with the built form to frame entries.

A contemporary architectural masterpiece.

Tower One's façade design is intentionally simple and neutral to allow the formation of the tower to take precedence. Highly reflective glass is continuous across the two forms of the building. Clear glass to the North-eastern winter gardens offers views and the ability for the green inside the tower to be viewed externally, forming a vertical expression of greenery and a visual link between the Botanic Gardens across the road and the city beyond.

Below the podium, the warmth of the brick used in the Mansions is reflected in a contemporary setting on the street building. The dark colour contrasts the red of the Mansions, allowing it to be a recessive and modern expression of brick, and maintains the prominence of the Mansions in the streetscape. The use of brick as a primary material for the street buildings not only talks to the longevity of the Mansions but is a strong and high-quality construction material which has stood the test of time.

This unique tower, seamlessly integrated within the Queen’s Wharf precinct, with breathtaking interiors and winter gardens that embraces Brisbane’s sub-tropical climate, is a flagship building for businesses looking for a defining presence in Australia’s fastest emerging new world city.
