Ti Tree Office Refurbishment and Village Hub

Project Description:

Ti Tree engaged Cottee Parker Architects to update their administration office and Resident Hub in Capel Sound.

The redevelopment features a vibrant double height glass window screens an adjacent apartment building and refracts coloured light throughout the office. The Australian landscape was used as an inspiration for the interior scheme. The foyer features a custom-made hand-woven rug in pure New Zealand wool which is based on a late 19th Century Etching of the Mornington Peninsula, reflecting the brand and ethos of the organisation.

Cottee Parker consulted extensively with staff and proprietors to understand the culture of the group so that a suitable design could be developed. Staff required spaces which were acoustically isolated so that they could have confidential conversations however they also sought to achieve openness and transparency. Acoustic Glass was used throughout

the office and textured plasterboard was specified for ceilings to dampen sound. Rooms were multi-purpose where possible. For example, Sales offices can be converted into meeting rooms or training rooms. This design approach to the development of centralised storage for the various functions.
