Designed for Melbourne-based developer Kokoda Property, ‘The Ambrose’ is a collection of 181 one-, two,- and three-bedroom apartments, with penthouses over 7 levels. For Kokoda’s second Brisbane project, the design focus is on offering a distinct market difference in the inner city suburb of Milton.

The façade is defined by sculptural ‘fins’ which are twisted off centre and alternate at each level of the building. The practical implication is to satisfy the urban solar screening criteria – but here, the design inclusion provides a distinctive element to the landmark tower. It’s a sense of address aligned to the luxurious nature of the apartment offer and elevates the overall building form.

The development is named after the original site owner, Ambrose Eldridge, who established Milton farm, built Milton house and was involved in several local committees. At a time when Milton has been through a rapid change in development, The Ambrose connects itself to the visionary spirit of this pioneer with its distinctive design and sculptural form.

The apartments, which range in size from 62 square metres to 185 square meters for the penthouses, feature oak flooring, natural stone bench tops, marble bathrooms and Miele appliances.

The design includes ‘hotel style’ amenities; on the ground level a 7-day concierge, a health and wellness centre, a steam room and sauna, an outdoor 15-meter lap pool, and a fully equipped gym and yoga area. On the rooftop; a wine cellar and tasting room, a resident’s bar with city views, private dining rooms, a library, a lounge room, an outdoor recreation area with a kitchen and BBQ dining area, and a rooftop swimming pool.
