As a haven for a seasonal menu, skilfully created cocktails and panoramic views, the restaurant is a playground for hotel guests and visitors, establishing itself as one of Perth’s iconic destinations. Resonating its rooftop location, the concept for Songbird is inspired from the migrating bird species from Australia, with notions of travel and habitat anchoring the conceptual brief.

Characterised by a combination of polished stainless steel, soft blues, coastal greys, and gold finishes, the interior creates a fresh and bright space during the day and transforms into a vibrant electric space at night. Gold metal feature ceiling details deliver on the circular motifs, creating tight arrangements that play with intimate, loose furniture settings.

Lighting is central to the experience, complementing the soft furnishings and delivers a dramatic energy to the space with an electric blue palette. Transparent screening ensures that all patrons have view lines to the external environment, maintaining the connection to the original concept of habitat and landscape.
