Redlands District Special School

Project Description:

Cottee Parker Architects were commissioned by The department of Education to design and document a New Learning Centre for Redlands District Special School. The new facility will support the growing campus by supplying the school with additional bespoke GLA spaces specially designed to suit special school learning and care requirements. The building has also been design to support the school long in the future with flexible design adaptiveness including additional under croft GLA infill and a masterplaned building expansion.

Cottee Parker Architects have used a neutral and timeless exterior palette with a hint of the schools crest colours to create a timeless and prominent school presence. The interior selections have been based on the need to create a warm and calming atmosphere to support learners in need of clarity and care. This has been utilised through the use of biophilic natural design selections.
