Hotel Grand Chancellor is a 4.5-star hotel with unparalleled views of the Brisbane City skyline and the Parklands. The hotel underwent an major transformation
in 2012 with the addition of a brand new Function Centre and additional guestrooms all designed by Cottee Parker Architects.
The hotel’s new function centre on the corner of Wickham Terrace and Leichhardt St draws inspiration from the front veranda of an old Queenslander and offers guests views of the natural landscape of the Roma Street Parklands, surrounding mountains, Brisbane River and city skyline. With 11 purpose-built naturally-lit meeting spaces, the centre offers highly flexible configurations for seminars, conventions, trade shows, gala dinners and weddings. The main Banquet Hall is subdivisible into 4 separate spaces with ample pre-function space for indoor and outdoor functions. The refurbishment also included expansion of the existing kitchen facility, refurbishment of the main lobby and guest arrival experience at ground level and fit-out of 36 additional hotel rooms in the existing hotel tower.
