Gallery House

Gallery House

Gallery House forms part of the $5 billion, 304-hectare Northshore Hamilton development – one of the largest urban renewal projects in Queensland.

Rising 20-storeys above the Brisbane River, ‘Gallery House’ is composed of two residential towers anchored by ground-floor retail. A total of 319 residences and luxury penthouses are separated into three collections. Inspired by Berlin-based Australian artist Sam Chirnside, the themes of City, River, and Sky form the basis of the market offer, with a series of artworks commissioned for the interiors.

The interior finishes use water-like textures and natural tones that echo the Brisbane River’s elements. We introduce a palette that is timeless and classic yet easy for the purchaser to overlay with their own touches to individualise the space.

Timber tones tend towards the driftwood greys of sun-bleached timber boardwalks and jetties. In conversation with the interior, the curving forms of the towers and podium level mimic the water-like context. The collection includes two-, three- and four-bedroom apartments, all with views of the river or the city. They also feature floor-to-ceiling windows, integrated European appliances and a choice of two colour schemes.

“Our brief was to create a unique riverfront address, maximising views from apartments to city and river. The soft organic forms of the buildings draw inspiration from the ebb and flow of the river and offer a counterpoint to the angular forms of the existing portside buildings.”

Before the regeneration of the precinct, homeowners were restricted to the single-dwelling typologies in the Hamilton area. Gallery House densifies the precinct but also builds community. The level of amenity within the building provides residents that are downsizing to inner city living with multiple opportunities to engage in ‘second space sanctuaries.’ A resort-style rooftop retreat above Gallery House One has an infinity pool, sun lounges, barbecue area and panoramic views over the city, river, and mountains. There is also green space available in the lush garden on the podium level, where residents can relax or meet friends.

“We don’t just want to construct apartment buildings; we want to create communities. A sense of connectivity has been achieved at Portside Wharf and we are now replicating it, on a more luxurious scale, at Gallery House.”
