Pastoral Crystalbrook is a quintessential Australian outback oasis – a destination where guests can explore, indulge and relax amongst a setting that is unlike any other. The development, 180km west of Cairns ‘at the heart’ of Crystalbrook Station, consists primarily of four stand alone accommodation cabins. Designed with a strong sense of place encompassing rural charm and comfort, Pastoral allows visitors to unplug & unwind while connecting to country and immersing in nature. A true outback experience.
The development also features a recreation centre, restaurant, new campgrounds, staff and managers’ quarters, extensive landscaping, new access roads, car parking, a solar farm and associated electrical infrastructure. All driven by key values of personality, wellness, responsible luxury and connectivity.
The site is privileged to sit in a vast and remote environment where the focus is to frame the natural setting and maximise access to surrounding flora & fauna. The barn like architectural forms respond with distinct simplicity and subtle articulation allowing for a seamless connection to the surrounding openness.
The built forms, utilising sustainable materials and rustic finishes, is to be delivered utilising a modular design and construction process. This will involve the development being built off site in South East Queensland before being transported, assembled and completed onsite.
