Cottee Parker Architects designed the Brisbane City Council’s regional business centre with light and sun shading at the forefront, in order to achieve a 5 Star NABERS rating. The 4000m² South Regional Business Centre offers direct access to Yeerongpilly railway station and contains a basement carpark below Q100 flood levels, with specially designed floodgates. Unique shading devices on the building’s east and west elevation help to control sun and heat loads.
The project was successfully completed to the client’s expectations and was awarded an AIA Regional Commendation.
